About

The flowers that did not fit the catalogue were always the most interesting ones.

Quick Field Meadow is a small flower studio in Akashi, Hyogo. We make seasonal bouquets, dried wreaths and pressed botanical frames, and we arrange them one order at a time. The flowers that do not fit a catalogue are the ones we like best: a slight lean, a bloom that has already started to open, colours that photograph badly and smell extraordinary.

We do not run a shop floor with a basket and a checkout. You write to us, we tell you what is in the studio that week and what it costs, and we confirm the order before you pay. The dried work, the wreaths and pressed frames, is made slowly and in small numbers, so the pieces on the Products page are the ones we have; anything else is by arrangement. The photographs on this site are illustrative stock images, not pictures of our own work.

How we work

  • Arranged to orderWe arrange to the message you send, so nothing sits in a bucket waiting for a buyer.
  • Seasonal, not catalogueThe selection changes week to week depending on what is growing. Some weeks it is cosmos and late dahlias; other weeks it is bare branches and dried grasses.
  • Wrapped, not boxedStems are wrapped in unbleached kraft paper and tied with linen twine. No plastic sleeves, no foam bricks, no filler greenery from a wholesaler.
